KTM is gearing up for the launch of the new-gen 390 Adventure which broke cover at EICMA 2024 in Milan, Italy back in November. Globally available in three variants: Adventure X, Adventure S, and Adventure R, the India-spec model will be available in X and S variants. Both variants have been listed on the company’s official website.

The Austrian bikemaker has started accepting pre-bookings for the 390 Adventure S at a token amount of Rs 1,999. While we have already discussed a lot about the Adventure S, let us focus on the more affordable Adventure X which will launch at a later date. Details of the same have been revealed.

KTM 390 Adventure X vs 390 Adventure S: Design

A road-biased version of the new KTM 390 Adventure, the Adventure X is more focussed on touring on smooth or slightly broken tarmacs rather than trail bashing. Although visually, it is almost identical to its new 390 Adventure. Only keen eyes can deduce the differences between the Adventure S and Adventure X. The biggest difference is the use of alloy wheels in the X instead of wire-spoke wheels.

The other noticeable difference is the smaller engine sump guard used in the Adventure X. Rest of the visual details are the same including the vertically-stacked twin-LED projector headlamps encased within a slim LED DRL, a large adjustable windscreen, a floating tail section, a front beak, and an underbelly exhaust muffler.
