Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has filed a patent for a new 160cc motorcycle design for the domestic market. Currently, the CG 160 is sold in the Brazilian market. In the 160cc commuter segment, Honda offers two models — SP 160 and the Unicorn in India.
Honda CG 160: Hardware and Features
The CG 160 is based on a diamond frame and is available in four variants — CG 160 Start, CG 160 Fan, CG 160 Titan and CG 160 Cargo. The CG 160’s price range starts from Brazil Reel 16,400 (Rs 2.48 lakh) to Brazil Reel 19,520 (Rs 2.95 lakh).
The naked bike sports all-black 18-inch alloy wheels, a 14-litre fuel tank with extensions and a brake system comprising a 240 mm front disc and 130 mm drum with a Combined Braking System (CBS). The CG 160 is fitted with front forks offering 120 mm travel and twin rear coil shockers with 106 mm of wheel travel.
For the instrument cluster, the CG 160 includes a digital display showing the speedometer, fuel gauge, gear indicator, trip meter, and mileage. Additionally, the motorcycle is equipped with a Type-C charging port.

Honda CG 160: Engine Specifications
The CG 160 is powered by a 162.7cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine with an output of 14.2 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 13.8 Nm at 6,750 rpm. It is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. If Honda launches it in India then it will compete against the TVS Apache RTR 160 and Bajaj Pulsar 160.
