The market for entry-level, mid-capacity motorcycles is quite significant in India, especially for models in the modern classic segment. With Royal Enfield ruling the roost, other motorcycle brands have only managed to play catch up with the Chennai-based bikemaker. To counter its dominance in this space, Honda launched the CB350 lineup in India in 2020.

Despite an impressive word of mouth, the motorcycle failed to set the sales chart on fire primarily due to its premium pricing and lack of availability across the country. Now, the Japanese brand is planning to add another model to the CB350 lineup. The company has teased a new variant of the CB350 on its social media handles.

New Honda CB350 variant teased

Currently Honda retails two models in the CB350 range– H’Ness and RS. The new model teased in social media goes by the name ‘CB350 BABT’. The teaser provides a sneak peek into the design of the upcoming motorcycle. For instance, the front mudguard now gets two connecting spokes that emerge from the bottom of the front fork with a cover similar to the likes of the Enfields.

The teaser video also shares a glimpse of the front alloy wheel. Other visual details visible from the teaser are a split-seat setup, a tubular pillion grab handle, round rearview mirrors, and a chrome handlebar.

New Honda CB350 variant: Expected specs, feature

In all likelihood, the new Honda CB350 BABT will be powered by the same 348cc single-cylinder engine found in the standard model. This unit delivers 20.8 bhp and 30 Nm of peak torque while being mated with a 5-speed gearbox. Hardware equipment will consist of telescopic front forks, twin rear shock absorbers, disc brakes at both ends aided by a dual-channel ABS.

It is expected to carry forward the same set of features as CB350 H’Ness including  LED illumination, side stand engine cut-off, Bluetooth connectivity,Honda Selectable Torque Control (a better version of traction control) and voice control. CB350 H’Ness is offered in four variants— DLX, DLX Pro, DLX Pro Chrome, and Legacy Edition.
