Hero MotoCorp was recently spotted filming a TVC for its upcoming Xtreme 250R, which was officially revealed at EICMA 2024 in Milan, Italy. Set to compete in the 250cc segment, the Xtreme 250R will go head-to-head with rivals like the Pulsar N250, KTM 250 Duke, Suzuki Gixxer 250, and Yamaha FZ 25. Hero Xtreme 250R: Design
Hero MotoCorp has taken a bold, aggressive approach with the new Xtreme 250R. The motorcycle boasts a sharp, futuristic design with a muscular look that demands attention. Its hefty fuel tank, complete with striking arrow-shaped extensions, gives it a bold road presence. Based on its stance, the Xtreme 250R is likely to offer a more committed, performance-focused riding position. The bike is finished off with a dynamic three-tone paint scheme, complemented by eye-catching graphics.
Hero Xtreme 250R: Hardware and Features
The new Xtreme 250R is built on a trellis frame and features gold-coloured 43mm upside-down front forks, paired with a 6-step adjustable monoshock at the rear for enhanced handling and comfort. From the EICMA display, it’s clear that the bike will ride on 17-inch alloy wheels, wide tyres, and a combination of front and rear disc brakes, all equipped with a switchable ABS function. Hero has also confirmed that the Xtreme 250R boasts a perfect 50-50 weight distribution for optimal performance.
The motorcycle comes equipped with an all-digital instrument console, complete with Bluetooth connectivity, a lap timer, and a drag timer for performance enthusiasts. For added visibility, it features all LED lighting, including LED DRLs, making the Xtreme 250R as stylish as it is functional.
Hero Xtreme 250R: Engine
The Hero Xtreme 250R is powered by a newly developed 250cc liquid-cooled DOHC engine with a 4-valve system. Based on the 210cc engine, it retains the same head, but with a 7mm longer stroke and an upgraded crankcase. This powerhouse generates 29.5 bhp and 25 Nm of torque, promising a thrilling ride.
