Hero MotoCorp is indulged in an aggressive promotional campaign on social media for its upcoming flagship model named Mavrick 440. Based on the Harley Davidson X400, the upcoming Mavrick 440 will sit on top of Hero’s lineup and is expected to be retailed via the company’s new Premia chain of dealerships.
Ahead of its official launch, slated for 23 January, Hero MotoCorp has yet again teased its upcoming middleweight roadster on social media. The bikermaker has released a short teaser video on various social media platforms which reveals some crucial details about the Mavrick 440.
Hero Mavrick 440 instrument console, exhaust note teased
In the latest teaser video, Hero MotoCorp has given a sneak peek of the motorcycle’s fully-digital instrument console. The console looks to be the most advanced unit from Hero yet and appears to pack a lot of amenities. The part circular and part rectangular instrument cluster appears to be an LCD unit unlike the TFT dash offered in the X440.
Some of the details visible from the instrument console are speedometer, odometer, tachometer, gear position indicator, Bluetooth connectivity, call and message alerts, navigation, and distance to empty in addition to various tell tale lights. The other interesting detail revealed from the short teaser video is the thumpy exhaust note which adds a lot of character to the bike.
Hero Mavrick 440: Expected powertrain, hardware specs
Powering Mavrick 440 will be the same 440cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled, two-valve, SOHC engine as the Harley Davidson X440 which motor pushes out 27 bhp and 38 Nm of peak torque. This engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox. As for cycle parts, the neo-retro roadster will feature a suspension setup comprising 43mm KYB USD telescopic front forks and dual shock absorbers at the rear. Braking duties will be carried out by 320mm front and 240mm rear disc brakes aided by a dual-channel ABS.
