Hero MotoCorp unveiled the updated Destini 125 earlier this year, giving the scooter a comprehensive update. However, Hero has not announced prices yet. The company is expected to announce the pricing of the new Destini 125 at the upcoming Bharat Mobility Expo, alongside the unveiling of the Xpulse 210, Xtreme 250R, and the new Karizma 250.
Hero Destini 125 — What updates did it get?
The Hero Destini 125 gets a design update. The headlight is redesigned with the signature H-shaped DRL and the same with the tail lamp. There are chrome and bronze garnishes, while the rear gets a tweak to make it look more retro. The fender and rear body panels are made of aluminium as well, making it more durable. The scooter is also longer and the wheelbase has increased.
In terms of features, the Destini 125 gets an LCD instrument console with phone connectivity, auto-cancelling indicators, a USB charging port, LED lighting, a cubby hole in the front that can hold a water bottle, and more. The scooter rides on 12-inch wheels with a disc brake at the front and telescopic forks take care of suspension duties.
Hero Destini 125 — Engine specifications and competition
The Honda Destini 125 is powered by a single-cylinder 125cc engine that makes 9bhp and 10.4Nm of torque, mated to a CVT gearbox. Hero claims a fuel efficiency of 59kmpl. The Hero Destini 125 will compete with two big names in the segment when launched, the TVS Jupiter 125 and the Honda Activa 125, the latter of which also got an update recently.
