Top five trending two-wheeler brands on Google

Honda

Honda CBR650R E-Clutch

Ranking right on top is Honda, having been in the news recently for launching the CB650R and the CBR 650R motorcycles with an e-clutch. These are the first motorcycles in this segment in India to have this technology, which makes shifting gears easier, allowing the rider to take manual control if needed. That said, Honda also took the lead in two-wheeler sales in April, beating its primary rival, Hero MotoCorp.

Royal Enfield

Royal Enfield Continental GT Cup

Up next is Royal Enfield, a brand that never goes out of topic. The Chennai-based company has expanded its 650cc lineup with the addition of the Classic 650, which is based on the same platform as the Shotgun 650. The company also updated its entry-level offering, the Hunter 350 recently, giving it fresh colour options and addressing a key aspect of the bike — the rear suspension. We are yet to put the motorcycles through real-world conditions, so stay tuned for more updates on them.

KTM

KTM has been in the news recently for multiple topics — from its bankruptcy to the new 390 Adventure and Enduro R range. However, the most recent news with KTM is the increase in prices across its Duke and RC range. The 390 Duke has become dearer by Rs 1,000, while the smaller 250 Duke has become more expensive by Rs 5,000. The RC 390 has seen an increase of Rs 5,000 while the smallest fully-faired offering, the RC 200 has gone up by Rs 11,000.

Hero MotoCorp

The Xpulse 210 is a huge improvement over the 200

Hero MotoCorp has lost its position to Honda in April two-wheeler sales, while it also saw TVS overtake the company in terms of sales. Hero has also launched several new products, including the updated Xpulse 210 and the Xtreme 250R, which showcase how simple motorcycles can be fun. That said, Hero will also be launching a new 450cc adventure motorcycle soon, which will compete with the Royal Enfield Himalayan and the KTM 390 Adventure.

TVS

The second-best-selling two-wheeler brand in April is the leader in electric vehicle sales in India and in the first two weeks of May, TVS already leads in EV sales. That said, TVS has also launched the updated version of the iQube in India, which gets a larger battery pack and added features. TVS has also been in the news for sharing more details about bringing the Norton brands to India, while the BMW F 450 GS was recently seen testing on our shores, which will be built by TVS.
