One of the most anticipated motorcycle launches is the Aprilia RS457, which made its global debut a few months back and also during the Indian GP. Being an entry-level offering, the RS457 will compete with the KTM RC 390 and the recently unveiled Kawasaki Ninja 500, which will soon make it to India.

With enthusiasts around the world eagerly awaiting Aprilia to announce the pricing for the RS457, the Italian manufacturer has finally announced them for the global markets. The new Aprilia RS457 will cost Rs 5.66 lakh ($6,799) for the Prismatic Dark and Opalescent Light colours, while the Racing Stripes version will cost Rs 5.74 lakh ($6,899).
In Canada, the Aprilia RS457 costs Rs 4.71 lakh (C$7,799) for the Prismatic Dark and Opalescent Light colours, while the motorcycle wearing the Racing Stripes will cost Rs 4.83 lakh (C$7,999). The prices may seem high, however, given the fact that the Aprilia RS457 will be made in India, we can expect a lower pricing compared to the US and Canada.
Aprilia RS457 engine specifications
The Aprilia RS457 is powered by a 457cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that makes 47bhp with the help of a six-speed gearbox. The motorcycle gets USD forks, 17-inch wheels, disc brakes at both ends, traction control, a quickshifter, and a TFT dash amongst others.
The Aprilia’s primary competitor in India, the KTM RC 390 gets all the above, including switchable ABS. However, with an update soon on the way, the RC 390 could get adjustable suspension, but will also get the new 399cc single-cylinder engine as the 390 Duke, which makes 45.3bhp and 39Nm of torque.
