2025 KTM RC200 new update: Is the Rs 12,000 price hike worth it?

The KTM RC200 is packed with new equipment, while retaining its powerful 200 cc liquid-cooled engine.

KTM India recently price-hiked its entire portfolio, which is not really something new because that is the standard practice in the industry. What caught everyone’s eye was that the RC200’s price shot up by Rs 12,000 making it more expensive than the Duke 250. Well, now we have managed to decode this massive hike and here’s what to expect from the 2025 RC200

2025 KTM RC200: Is the price hike justified?

The KTM RC200 has finally given the old LCD rider’s instrument console and has replaced it with the 5-inch TFT digital display. This is the same unit that’s already available in the Duke 200 and reads out fuel range, average speed, trip and odometer, torque meter, clock and ride modes. As the TFT unit is Bluetooth enabled, it offers smart functions like via connected tech or KTM My Ride, turn-by-turn navigation receive calls and messages alerts and play your favourite playlist.

Apart from this latest upgrade, the RC200 is available in three paint schemes including the new metallic grey. 

2025 KTM RC200: Features

The RC200 continues to be packed with features like adjustable handlebars and all LED lights including the indicators, which is a first in the segment. The motorcycle is equipped with dual-channel ABS with SuperMoto mode. 

2025 KTM RC200: Engine Specifications

The RC200 continues to be powered by a 199.5 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, engine with an output of 26.4 bhp at 10,000 rpm and 19.2 Nm at 8,000 rpm and is mated to a six-speed gearbox. The RC200 is based on the split-trellis frame with 43 mm WP Apex USD forks and WP Apex Monoshock 10-step adjustable. It comes with a 320 mm front disc brake and a 230 mm disc at the rear. With a kerb weight of 160 kg, the RC200 has a seat height of 835 mm and a ground clearance of 156 mm. 

2025 KTM RC200: Competition

The RC 200 is now priced at Rs 2.33 lakh, ex-showroom, and squares off against the Yamaha R15 V4, the Hero Karizma XMR and the Bajaj Pulsar RS200. The Yamaha 15 V4 costs Rs 1.84 lakh, the Karizma XMR at Rs 2.01 lakh and the Pulsar RS200 at Rs 1.85 lakh, all ex-showroom prices.
