On the design front, the two motorcycles look identical, apart from the displacement decals on the side of the front fairing. The KTM 390 Adventure and 250 Adventure get USD forks with 200mm travel and a 10-step adjustable monoshock at the rear with 205mm of travel. However, the KTM 390 Adventure gets adjustable front forks, while the 390 Adventure X and 250 get non-adjustable front suspension.

The KTM 390 Adventure X and 250 get cast-alloy wheels with a 19-17 wheel setup, while the range-topping 390 Adventure gets a 21-17 setup with spoke wheels. Both motorcycles get disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS, a TFT instrument cluster with phone connectivity, and LED lighting.
