Royal Enfield Thunderbird X is set to launch in India on 28 February. Seen completely undisguised at dealerships a couple of time, the new Thunderbird X will be available in bright candy colours, perhaps the peppiest colours we’ve seen on Royal Enfield motorcycles so far. In terms of powertrains, Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500X and 350X will be the same as the existing Thunderbird 500 and 350, respectively. The major changes in the standard and X versions of the Thunderbird will include a new handlebar, single-piece seat, black alloy wheels and tubeless tyres.
This will be the first time alloys will be seen on a Royal Enfield motorcycle since the DX175 Fury in the 1980s. Besides the candy coloured fuel tank, the engine, exhaust and other components will be blackened, further highlighting the bright paint job on the tank.
While Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500 and 350 had traditional cruiser appeal, the Thunderbird 500X and 350X will be much sportier to look at, something that will most likely to appeal to younger buyers.

Price of the Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500X and Thunder 350X will be announced on 28 February, but expect them to be priced slightly higher than their standard version.
