1. Honda CB Hornet 160R target buyers: The Honda CB Hornet 160R has replaced the slow-selling CB Trigger which was discontinued earlier this year. Though the company already has a 160cc bike in the form of CB Unicorn, the Hornet aims to attract young buyers who are looking for a slightly more upmarket product.

2. Honda CB Hornet 160R design: Built on a tubular diamond frame, the Honda CB Hornet 160R has taken its design inspiration from the CX-01 concept which was showcased at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo. With features such as pronounced fuel tank in carbon pattern, 5-spoke alloy-wheels, dual-tine front mud-guard, highlighted knee recesses and X-shaped LED tail-lights, the Honda CB Hornet 160R certainly looks quite attractive. It also gets a fully-digital instrument console.

3. Honda CB Hornet 160R prices: The CB Hornet 160R is available in two variants – single disc and dual disc with CBS (Combi braking system). While the former is priced at Rs 79,900, the latter comes at Rs 84,400. Both the prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.

4. Honda CB Hornet 160R specifications: Power for the Hornet 160R comes from a 162.71cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that also features Honda Eco Technology (HET). Though the same powertrain also powers the CB Unicorn 160, it has been tuned to deliver more power with the CB Hornet. It produces 15.6bhp at 8,500rpm and 14.76Nm at 6,500rpm mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The powertain helps the CB Hornet 160R achieve a top-speed of 110kmph.

5. Honda CB Hornet 160R mileage & colours: The company claims that the Honda CB Hornet 160R returns an impressive 59km/l of mileage despite offering a sporty performance. The 160cc bike is available in a total of 5 colours – Neo Orange Metallic, Pearl Amazing White, Sports Red, Pearl Siren Blue & Pearl Nightstar Black.
