TVS Apache gets matte blue colour; prices start Rs. 82,600 (On-Road)

While the launch of TVS Apache 200 is still impending, the Indian two-wheeler major has added a special colour (Matte Blue) in its Apache Range. Interestingly, the company has been selling Apache in matte blue colour for over 3 weeks already.

While the launch of TVS Apache 200 is still impending, the Indian two-wheeler major has added a special colour (Matte Blue) in its Apache Range. Interestingly, the company has been selling Apache in matte blue colour for over 3 weeks already.

Currently on sale with the RTR 160 version, the matte blue shade will also be made available with the RTR 180 in coming weeks. While the single-disc equipped RTR 160 matte blue is available at Rs 82,600, the dual-disc version is priced at Rs 84,800 (on-road, Delhi), reveal our sources. Since it’s yet another colour option in the lineup, the company is charging no extra money for it.

Besides the new matte blue shade, the RTR 160 also gets decals on sides. Though there are no mechanical changes made to it, as it continues to feature the same 159.7cc, single-cylinder engine that is good for 15.2bhp and 13.1Nm. The Apache RTR 180, on the other hand, features a 177.4cc single-cylinder unit that churns out 17.03bhp and 15.5Nm.

Based on a double cradle chassis, the Apache RTR 160 features telescopic forks at the front and gas-filled, coil springs at the rear. As mentioned above, the Apache RTR 160 can be bought either with a single disc or dual-disc versions. The Apache RTR 180, on the other hand, also has an ABS (anti-lock braking system) version with disc brakes both at the front and rear.
