The Nissan Micra is a premium hatchback offered in the Indian market in two petrol and two diesel variants. The variants are Micra XL (CVT), XV (CVT), XL Diesel and XL Comfort Diesel. The Nissan Micra comes with a 1,198cc petrol engine and a 1,461 cc diesel engine which comes with a five speed manual transmission and an advanced automatic CVT transmission. The CVT automatic gearbox is not offered with the diesel engine. In terms of safety, it comes with ventilated discs at front with drum brakes at rear, Anti-lock braking system (ABS), Electronic brake distribution (EBD), driver and passenger side and front impact beams, speed sensing automatic door locks and hazard warning switch. Key features include all power windows, power steering, speed sensing auto door lock, music system with USB, AUX and Bluetooth and front fog lamps. The 2018 model brings on board new features such as passenger airbag, integrated turning winkers on ORVMs and more.

    The Micra hatchback offered by Nissan in India measures 3,825 mm in length, 1,665 in widt, 1,530 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,450 mm. For the diesel variants, all dimensions are the same except the height which is 5 mm lesser than the aforementioned figure. All versions of the Nissan Micra have an LED tail lamp, body coloured bumpers, door mirrors and door handles. The top end variant is offered with alloy wheels while the lower versions have a steel rim with full wheel cover.
