2018 Honda CR-V looks a lot more premium and appealing when compared to the outgoing model. The new CR-V gets a thick chrome grille up front that you will find in most of the Honda cars. The new 2018 Honda CR-V gets aggressively styled LED headlamps and tail lamps that give it a lot of character. This is the first time that the CR-V gets three rows and hence, it looks significantly larger as well than the outgoing model.
The new 2018 Honda CR-V gets significant improvements in cabin over the previous generation model. The cabon gets a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There are also multiple USB charging ports for the front and rear passengers to enhance the convenience.
Powering the 2018 Honda CR-V are two engine options and this is the first time that the premium SUV gets a diesel engine. The 2.0-litre petrol engine is good for churning out respective power and torque outputs of 152 bhp and 189 Nm. On the other hand, the 1.6-litre diesel engine on the Honda CR-V is good for producing 118 bhp of power along with 300 Nm of torque.
While the 2.0-litre petrol engine on the new 2018 Honda CR-V is mated to a CVT transmission, the 1.6-litre mill is linked to a nine-speed automatic gearbox.
In terms of safety, the new 2018 Honda CR-V gets five stars in the ASEAN NCAP. The SUV gets six airbags along with multi angle rear view camera, hill start assist, ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) with EBD and a lot more.
Honda claims a fuel efficiency of 14.4 kmpl with the petrol variant of the new CR-V. On the other hand, for the diesel engine, the company claims a figure of 19.5 kmpl and 18.3 kmpl for the 2WD and AWD versions respectively.
