Marc Marquez has set a new record at the 2025 French GP, by winning six races in a row, while Ducati takes all three spots on the podium. In the process, Marquez also reclaimed the lead in the overall championship points, followed by his brother Alex Marquez in second and Bagnaia in third.
2025 French GP Sprint: Tha race
Quartararo, starting in pole position, got a decent start but the Ducatis soon showed their dominance. However, soon, Marquez’s factory Ducati ran wide and the Frenchman took advantage, allowing the Yamaha to lead the Ducatis. On lap 2, Bagnaia lost his Ducati under braking, but the battle was on for first between Marquez and Quartararo.
Soon, Marquez took advantage and from then on, led the race to the finish to set a new Sprint record. He was followed by Alex Marquez in second and Aldeguer in third, who kept a steady pace. Yamaha’s Quartararo finished fourth, followed by Vinales in fifth.
The race did see a fair bit of drama and crashed between the KTMs, as Binder fell on lap four. Towards the final lap, Acosta made a mistake, dropping all the way down the leaderboard. The main Grand Prix is set to take place later today, so stay tuned for more MotoGP news.
