Mahindra has introduced the 2025 Thar in India, with prices beginning at Rs. 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV retains its familiar engine and transmission options, as well as the current suspension and drivetrain setup. Buyers can choose from three powertrains: a 1.5-litre diesel, a 2.2-litre diesel, and a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic.

On the outside, the radiator grille is now finished in the same shade as the body, giving it a more uniform look. In addition, silver accents have been placed on both bumpers to create a dual-tone finish.

The facelifted Thar is offered with three engine choices — a 1.5-litre mHawk CRDe diesel, a 2.2-litre mHawk CRDe diesel, and a 2.0-litre mStallion 150 TGDi petrol. The 1.5-litre diesel produces 117hp and 300Nm of torque, while the 2.2-litre diesel generates 130hp and 300Nm.

Customers can select between a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic torque converter. The automatic variant also comes with a dedicated dead pedal for added driving comfort.
