In the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show, Toyota will unveil its GR HV SPORTS concept car which claims to represent a new way to enjoy car by integrating the thrill of sports car with the environmental friendliness of an eco-car. The design of Toyota GR HV Sportscar resembles Toyota Gazoo TS050 Hybrid racing car that competes in the World Endurance Championship (WEC).

Toyota GR HV SPORTS concept car features a targa top that was also used in Toyota’s most famous convertible sports car Toyota Sports 800 (a.k.a. Yotahachi) and the Toyota Supra. The new sports car concept measures 4395 mm in length, 1805 mm in width and stands tall at 1280 mm. It’s gets a front engine, rear-wheel drive driveline. The engine is powered by THS-R (Toyota Hybrid System-Racing) that is infused with hybrid technology refined by the TS050 Hybrid.

The design of the Toyota GR HV SPORTS concept sports car LED headlights, aluminum wheels and a rear diffuser similar to the TS050 Hybrid. The design evokes Toyota's bond with motor sports. The car is finished in matte black colour. The car will be unveiled later in October in Tokyo and might make it to production by 2020.
