Meet Gibbs Biski, no other motorcycle can do the things it can do on a surface no other two-wheeler can go on. So, you've guessed it by now, the Biski is effectively an amphibious creature – can dwell on land and water.
-
Gibbs Biski, a 55hp twin cylinder engine scooter, runs on land like any other normal two-wheeler, however it can transform into something special at the flick of a button. It only takes it five seconds to be water ready. This amphibious scooter is the brain chile of a company based in New Zealand called Gibbs Amphibians, which specialises in amphibious vehicles.
-
The Biski can do an impressive 130 km/h on land and about 60 km/h on water. When you ride it onto water from land, Biski transforms into its jet-ski style version by retracting the rear wheel and starting the jet propulsion system.
-
The Biski weighs about 228 kg and has a body somewhat similar to a big touring motorcycle, however, it is all only hollow so as to allo floatation. While the bodywork will help it remain stable on water, I suspect it may hinder its ability to corner on regular black stripes on land which people use to commute! Everyday!
-
Granted it sounds like a great idea and concept, and the Biski is currently in development stage, but for now it is rather impractical and let's be honest it isn't all that pretty either.

Here's to hoping that the production ready version will be better and it will find customers who have to cross two-three lakes on their way to work every day.
