It’s a battle of Mahindra’s flagship models — the new XEV 9e EV versus the XUV700. The two SUVs are feature-laden, but the XEV 9e introduces tech wizardry that is not only segment-firsts but also ones we hope to see in the XUV700 soon. Mahindra XEV 9e: Three display set up

The XEV 9e is the only vehicle in its class to have a 43-inch floating digital display on the dashboard. This massive coast-to-coast setup includes two 12.3-inch screens — one for the infotainment system and the driver’s console. This includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. To up the ante further, it also comes with a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. 

Mahindra XEV 9e: Head-up display with Augmented Reality

Mahindra has left no stone unturned when it comes to driver-assist technology. The XEV 9e gets a head-up display on the windshield which shows navigation arrows to guide. In addition to this, it displays information like the current speed and even sends alerts for potential hazards ahead. 

Mahindra XEV 9e: Auto Park

Look ma, no hands! Okay, we couldn’t resist stating that. The auto park makes life easier when it comes to parking your vehicle in tight spots. With the aid of 12 ultrasonic sensors, the XEV 9e can identify the parking area and park itself. It also allows you to step outside the EV and lets you park it remotely via the key fob. The steps are simple — press the lock button twice then the setting button, and press the forward or backward controls to guide the SUV into the parking spot.

Mahindra XEV 9e: Pet mode

Great news for pet parents. Mahindra has taken genuine and innovative steps to introduce PawPal mode. In case you have to step out for a few and for some reason, you can’t take your pet along with you then simply activate PawPal mode and the air conditioner will keep running with the doors safely locked as your pet continues to chill in the cabin. 

Mahindra XEV 9e: NFC digital key

With a tap on the flush door handles, the XEV 9e opens without any additional effort thanks to the NFC key card. This way you don’t need to carry the EV key fog. This feature can only be activated on your smartphone which will lock and unlock the vehicle.
