The Tesla Cybertruck has come under the scanner of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) after observing that the windshield wiper motor could fail and reduce visibility, which can potentially lead to an accident. A total of 11,688 units of the Tesla Cybertrucks have been affected by the wiper and other issues.

Tesla also announced a recall for its Cybertruck for a trim in the trunk bed that could come off and cause a risk to other highway users owing to improper fitting. The trim could fall off, causing a potential hazard to other motorists on the road.

Tesla will get the wiper motor fixed for free, install the rear trim better and replace the trims for those vehicles that have lost the trim piece already.

The Cybertruck was recalled in April this year as well for a faulty accelerator pedal pad that could potentially get stuck in the interior trim after coming loose. Almost 4,000 Cybertrucks were part of this recall. Apart from the Cybertrucks, Tesla had recalled almost 2.4 million vehicles in the first quarter of this year.
