Ola Electric announced its ambitious plans to launch electric motorcycles last year and showcased 4 concepts. This year, the plans have picked up pace, and Ola could launch the motorcycle on August 15, having planned a big event. That said, Ola has teased the motorcycle ahead of its official unveil in a few days.
Is this the Ola Roadster?
Last year on August 15, Ola showcased four electric motorcycle concepts — a Roadster, Cruiser, Adventure, and a Roadster. Looking at the teaser, we believe that the teased product is the Roadster, owing to the design elements visible such as the handlebar. The relaxed position and the popularity naked roadsters have gained in recent times, it makes sense.
The motorcycle gets twin-pod headlights with a DRL running across, while the tank shrouds give it a muscular look from the front. The teaser also reveals that the rear brake will be operated by a foot pedal instead of a lever on the left side of the handlebar because it is not visible.

This is very similar to the Roadster concept Ola showcased last year and this was the only concept ridden to the stage, hinting that it was close to launch. Now, with the teaser, we can say it will be a roadster.
There are a few design updates compared to the concept showcased last year. The headlight design is different and the tank shrouds are also different, replacing the plain covers seen in the concept. The motorcycle is expected to get premium parts such as USD forks, disc brakes at both ends and a TFT dash with a host of connectivity features.
