Ola launches new S1X with 4kWh battery pack and reveals charging infrastructure plan

Ola has launched the S1X with a larger 4kWh battery pack and announced further plans in regards to the charging infrastructure.

Ola Electric has launched S1X with a 4kWh battery pack, claiming a range of 190km. The new S1X 4kWh is priced at Rs 1,09,999 with deliveries starting April 2024 onwards. The company has also announced an extended battery warranty of 8 years or up to 80,000km across all its products, addressing customer concerns.

The new Ola S1X has a top speed of 90 kmph and can accelerate from 0-40 kmph in 3.3 seconds. The S1X is available in Red Velocity, Midnight, Vogue, Stellar, Funk, Porcelain white and Liquid Silver.

Apart from the launch of the new S1X and announcing the 8-year warranty, Ola has also introduced additional warranty packages that cover up to 1,25,000km. This, however, is a paid option.

At the same event, the EV startup announced its plans to expand its charging infrastructure from the current 1,000 units to 10,000 units by the end of this quarter, covering residential areas and highways. In the meanwhile, the company also announced plans to expand its service network to 600 centres by April.
