Bangalore-based EV startup, Ultraviolette, has launched its second electric motorcycle model, the F77 SuperStreet, at Rs 2.99 lakh, ex-showroom. As the name suggests, the motorcycle is more street-focused than the F77 Mach 2, which is more committed and sporty. With slight tweaks made to the design, the SuperStreet will cater to a wider audience base. So what are the changes, and which of the two should you pick? Here’s a detailed look.
New Ultraviolette F77 SuperStreet — What are the big changes?
At first glance, all look the same — identical. However, once you swing a leg over and take position, you realise. Unlike the F77 Mach 2, the F77 SuperStreet uses a tubular handlebar instead of clip-ons, easing out the rider’s ergonomics a bit. There is a 25-degree change in the rider’s back posture, making it less committed compared to the F77 Mach 2. The next big change is with the instrument cluster, which sits on a new base and is angled better.
Apart from these two changes, the F77 SuperStreet is identical to the F77 Mach 2, featuring the same suspension setup, 17-inch wheels, TFT instrument console, braking hardware, 10 levels of regenerative braking, ABS modes, ride modes, traction control, and smartphone connectivity. The battery pack is also the same — a 10.3kWh unit that offers a range of 323km and can achieve a top speed of 155kmph.
New Ultraviolette F77 SuperStreet vs F77 — Which one should you choose?
While they share almost everything in common, the choice comes down to rider preference. If you are looking at something sporty, the F77 Mach 2 will be ideal. If you’re looking for something that is relaxed yet has the same features, performance, and battery pack that will be used for longer days in the saddle and highway trips, the F77 SuperStreet is the answer.
