Hyundai has officially unveiled the much-anticipated Creta EV, set to make its debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 on January 17. Its main competitor, the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, will also be launched at the same event. Bookings for the Creta EV are now open, with an initial deposit of Rs 25,000. Hyundai is expected to begin deliveries of the new electric SUV starting in February.
Hyundai Creta EV: Variants and Colours
The Creta EV will be offered in four variants: Executive, Smart, Premium, and Excellence. The Smart trim has two versions—Smart and Smart (O). The electric SUV comes with two battery options: a 42 kWh pack, available across all variants except Excellence, and a larger 51.4 kWh pack, which is offered in the Smart (O) and Excellence trims.
Hyundai will provide the Creta EV in a range of ten colour options, including eight monotone shades and two dual-tone combinations. Additionally, the SUV will be available in three matte finish colours.
Hyundai Creta EV: Battery Specs
The Creta Electric comes with two battery options: a 42 kWh standard version and a longer-range 51.4 kWh variant. Hyundai claims the 51.4 kWh version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.9 seconds and offers an ARAI-rated range of 473 km. The entry-level 42 kWh model provides an ARAI-rated range of 390 km.
When using a DC fast charger, the Creta EV can be charged from 10 per cent to 80 per cent in 58 minutes. For home charging, the 11 kW AC charger can fully charge the battery from 10 per cent to 100 per cent in approximately 4 hours.
