BYD has officially opened the bookings for the eMAX 7. At Rs 51,000, one can reserve it by logging on to the company’s official website or at authorized BYD outlets. The first 1,000 customers will receive a complimentary 7 kW charger. The all-electric MPV will make its debut in the Indian market on October 8. According to BYD India, the deliveries will take place by or before March 25, 2025.
BYD eMAX 7: Design
The eMAX 7 gets a traditional MPV design with large windows with sloping A-pillar for better view and airness in the cabin. It gets all-LED illumination including connected tail lights. The eMAX 7 comes with chrome garnishing front and side lower claddings and window sills.
BYD eMAX 7: Interiors
The eMAX7 is the updated e6, which was BYD India’s first vehicle in the Indian market. The dashboard has a clean design with the new 12.8-inch infotainment system, which has a rotating feature. This is a major update as the older model came with a 10.1-inch floating display.
The three-row electric MPV is available in a 6-seat formation with independent captain seats In the second row and a 7-seater option. The instrument cluster remains as an analogue setup but the cabin receives new two wireless phone chargers, a new gear selector, new centre console command buttons and a new three-spoke steering wheel.
The eMAX 7 is expected to offer all the bells and whistles like a full glass roof, Level 2 ADAS suite, 6 airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system, a 360-degree camera and much more.
BYD eMAX 7: Battery Specs and Range
BYD is offering two batter pack options in the global market for the eMAX 7 — a 55.4 kWh and 71.8 kWh. The entry-level 55.4 kWh model is paired with a single electric motor that produces 161 bhp, while the 71.8 kWh variant gets a more powerful motor producing 201 bhp. Both have a torque of 310 Nm. The 55.4 kWh trim has a driving range of 420 km while the more higher capacity variant returns around 530 km. Officially, BYD has not revealed the specs and figures for the eMAX 7.
