Ather’s updates are subtle and the 450 platform continued to drive business for the EV startup. However, when the Rizta started making rounds on the internet, this got enthusiasts eager as it was the first new product from the company in a long time. Finally, with the launch of the Ather Rizta, we have all the details one needs. Here are some differences and similarities between the Rizta and the 450 series.

Ather Rizta vs 450X: Differences explained

The most common difference between the two is the design. The Ather Rizta features a subtle, family-friendly design with a large seat, a wide footboard, an upright seating position, and a wide body. That said, the Rizta also features a large under seat storage, and that, combined with the frunk, gives the Rizta a total storage space of 56 litres.

The next major difference is with the instrument console. Although the Rizta and the 450 use the same units, the graphics are completely different. The Rizta uses a more relaxed UI compared to the 450 series.

The other big difference is the hardware, as the Rizta and 450 have different chassis and the the braking is also different. The Ather 450 uses disc brakes at both ends while the Rizta uses a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear.

Besides the large differences, the Rizta and 450 share a lot in common. Starting with the battery pack, the Rizta and 450 share the same 2.9kWh battery pack and the 3.7kWh unit, however, they offer different ranges. The next similarity between them is the instrument console, which is again either a TFT dash or an LCD unit, depending on the model.

The electronics are shared as well, as the Ather Rizta and 450 get phone connectivity, navigation, hill hold, fall safe, magic twist, and much more. The Rizta does get something called anti-skid, which works like traction control and could go on to the 450 as well. However, at the moment, only the Rizta gets it.
