BMW has launched the iX xDrive50 in India, priced at Rs 1.39 crore, ex-showroom. The new all-electric BMW iX xDrive50 will be available at all BMW showrooms and will be sold in India as CBUs. The SUV will be available in Mineral White, Phytonic Blue, Black Sapphire, Aventurine Red, and Oxide Grey paint schemes, while a Storm Bay Metallic paint finish is also available as an option.
BMW iX xDrive50: Design and features
The new iX xDrive50 gets the unmistakable BMW kidney grille while its muscular lines give it a clearly defined appearance. The carmaker also says that the electric SUV gets the ‘narrowest BMW headlight ever’, while the standard 22-inch wheels add to the overall design. Other exterior design features include frameless doors, while customers can custom order the SUV in a Titanium Bronze finish.
The electric SUV features BMW’s Laserlight technology with adaptive headlights, while inside, the highlight is the curved glass display that features the infotainment system, certain car functionalities, and the instrument cluster. Other features include a panoramic glass roof, seats with massage functions, and more.

In terms of tech, the SUV gets a HUD, BMW’s ConnectedDrive suite, BMW Personal Assistant, electric seats with ventilation, an 18-speaker Harman Kardon system, wireless charging, parking assist, lane keep assist, surround camera, blind spot assist and much more.
BMW iX xDrive50: Battery specifications
Powering the X xDrive50 is a 111.5 kWh battery pack that makes 516 bhp and 765 Nm of torque. BMW claims acceleration of 0 to 100 kmph in 4.6 seconds, while the SUV has a claimed WLTP of 635 km. The BMW iX xDrive50 comes with a 22 kW wall box charger that can juice up the batteries from 0 to 100 percent in 5.5 hours.
Additionally, the BMW iX xDrive50 supports DC fast charging, which takes 35 minutes to charge the battery pack from 10 to 80 percent, which is approximately 145 km range in 10 minutes. With a 5o kW DC charger, the vehicle can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in 97 minutes while an 11 kW AC charger takes 11 hours to charge the battery from 0 to 100 percent.
