Vinfast is one of the new entrants into India’s automotive industry. The Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer has been eyeing an India launch for a long time. The company made its first public appearance in the country earlier this year at the Bharat Mobility Expo. And now Vinfast has shown a couple of its upcoming cars in select cities across the country.
Starting June 21, VinFast has showcased its vehicles at high-traffic malls in key cities, giving potential customers the opportunity to get an up-close look at the VF7 and VF6. The company has displayed both electric SUVs in 11 cities including Mumbai, New Delhi, Chennai, Pune and others.

Vinfast VF6, VF7: Expected Specs
It was earlier reported that Vinfast will land in India with three models initially with VF7 and VF6 launching this year followed by VF3 early next year. The VF7 is a mid-size electric SUV developed in partnership with Italy’s Torino Design. Internationally, it is available in two global variants: Eco and Plus. The Eco version features front-wheel drive with an output of 172 bhp and 250 Nm of torque.
The Plus variant offers all-wheel drive, delivering 344 bhp and 500 Nm of torque. Both trims come equipped with a 75.3 kWh battery, offering an estimated WLTP range of up to 450 km. The VF7 is most likely to hit the road around Diwali this year. On the other hand, VF6 is a compact electric SUV that also comes with two trims: Eco and Plus. delivering 172 bhp and the Plus producing 198 bhp.
Power comes from a 59.6 kWh battery, offering a driving range of approximately 381 to 399 km, depending on the trim. Like the VF7, the VF6 is also expected to go under the hammer around Diwali this year.
