Tata Motors has officially teased the upcoming sportiest iteration of Altroz ahead of launch slated for next month. A pre-production prototype of the Altroz Racer made its maiden appearance at the Auto Expo 2023 and will go up against Hyundai i20 N Line. Besides sporty aesthetics, the Altroz Racer will also promise sportier performance.
As shown in the prototype last year, the recent teaser of the Altroz Racer can also be seen wearing the same dual-tone orange shade with a black roof, spoiler, pillars, and bonnet, giving the car a sporty visual. Let us check out how it will stack up against its nearest rival the i20 N Line in terms of looks, features, and specifications.
Tata Altroz Racer Vs Hyundai i20 N Line: Looks
While the design will remain unchanged, the Altroz Racer will get sportier visual touches including a dual-tone paint scheme featuring blacked-out front grille, air dam, bonnet, alloy wheels, pillars and window sills, ORVMs, and tailgate. Other critical visual touches include white race stripes, a roof-mounted spoiler, dual-tone 16-inch alloy wheels, a shark fin antenna, and a ‘Racer’ badge on the front fender.

On the other hand, the i20 N Line also retains the same overall design as its standard model but benefits from sportier visuals. This includes a tweaked front grille with the N Line logo. Other styling highlights include sharper front and rear bumpers and red accents to create a sporty contrast. One big difference between the Altroz Racer and i20 N Line is that the latter gets 17-inch all-black alloy wheels that should give the hatch a better stance.
Tata Altroz Racer Vs Hyundai i20 N Line: Interiors
Like the exterior, interiors of Altroz Racer will also receive sportier touches with an all-black cabin spruced up with red highlights around the AC vents, centre console, and seat upholstery. A similar pattern is followed in the i20 N Line cabin as well, although the red accents are used a bit more judiciously. The i20 N Line additionally benefits from aluminium pedals which the Altroz Racer could miss out on.

When it comes to features, Altroz Racer will come equipped with a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charger, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, air purifier, ventilated front seats, voice-enabled electric sunroof, and six airbags.
A similar set of features is available in the i20 N Line too, however, the Korean hot hatch gets a big boost in safety in the form of ADAS. The Level 1 ADAS offered in i20 N Line gets active safety features such as Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Assist Control (HAC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM).
