Volvo Auto India on Friday announced a revision of its car prices across the range. While the prices of some models have been reduced by upto Rs 3.04 lakh, others have gone dearer by up to 3 per cent. The increase in the prices of the Volvo cars is a result of the new taxes imposed on cars in Budget 2016.
While the Volvo V40 Cross Country D3 Inscription has seen the steepest fall in its price (Rs 3.04 lakh), the XC90 Inscription has seen the maximum hike of over Rs 2.33 lakh.
Tom von Bonsdorff, Managing Director, Volvo Auto India said, “This year’s budget has forced us to relook at the pricing in order to provide the best in class products to our customers. At the same time, we are pleased to be able to offer significant price reduction on S60 Kinetic, S60 Momentum and V40 Cross Country D3 Inscription variants, without compromising on the features and specification levels.
