New Kia Syros teaser: What to expect?

The new boxy SUV from Kia will be available in six variants and will offer Level 2 ADAS suite.

Kia India has dropped a new teaser of its new upcoming compact SUV, the Syros. The vehicle will make its debut on December 19. It is expected to be priced above the Sonet. The new teaser has revealed new design elements. Here is what we know so far. 

Kia Syros: What’s new?

The Syros will be different from its current SUV lineup like the Sonet and Seltos when it comes to design. The new SUV will be boxy in design and sports vertically stacked LED headlights and L-shaped tail lamps like Kia’s flagship model, the EV9. Furthermore, it gets a flared bonnet with square-shaped wheel arches with flush door handles. The teaser also showcased a panoramic sunroof with roof rails and dual-tone 17-inch alloy wheels. 

Kia Syros: Variants and Specs

Fresh information has been reported by Carwale has revealed that the Syros will be available in six variants — HTK, HTK (O), HTK+, HTX, HTX+, and HTX+ (O). According to the media report, the Syros will come in eight colour options — Frost Blue, Pewter Olive, Aurora Black Pearl, Intense Red, Gravity Grey, Imperial Blue, Sparkling Silver, and Glacier White Pearl. Based on the new teaser, the Syros is expected to be equipped with a 10.25-inch infotainment system and a digital driver’s console, front ventilated seats, a wireless phone charger and a wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Syros top model will come equipped with Level 2 ADAS.

Like the Sonet, the Syros is expected to be available in three engine trims — a 1-litre turbo petrol, a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine.
