Kia is gearing up to launch two new products next month— Carnival and EV9. Both flagship utility vehicles will make their India debut on 3 October 2024 and will be available as fully-imported CBU models. While EV9 will be an all-new proposition for the Indian market, the Carnival is making a return in a brand new avatar after a brief hiatus.

Ahead of its launch, Kia has started its promotional campaign for the MPV on social media and television. The Korean carmaker has shared multiple teasers of the new Carnival on its social media handles. In the short teaser video released last week, Kia is calling the MPV as ‘Carnival Limousine’.

The company has now started accepting pre-launch bookings for the all-new Carnival. Interested customers can book the new MPV Kia dealerships across India or the company’s official India website starting September 16 at a token amount of Rs 2 lakh. The Limousine suffix suggests that Kia will be launching only the Limousine trim of the new Carnival.

Kia Carnival Interior details

We expect Kia to offer the Carnival in both a seven- and eight-seat layout, the latter offering captain seats in the middle row as shown in the teaser. The teaser also confirms the presence of two single-pane electric sunroofs instead of a single panoramic sunroof. As mentioned previously, the interiors of the new Carnival will be in sync with current crop of Kia models featuring a twin-screen setup with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment display and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.

The dashboard features a dual-tone layout with yellow ambient lighting, while controls for multi-zone auto climate control and a premium music system are conveniently located below the central screen. The smart entertainment system receives over-the-air updates. Other novelties on offer include a 4.2-inch TFT  instrument display, six standard USB Type-C ports for all three rows, two power outlets, and two 115V inverters.
