Mini Cooper S and Countryman Electric launched in India

Mini has launched the updated Cooper S and Countryman Electric in India. Here’s all you need to know.

Mini has launched the updated Cooper S and the Countryman Electric in India, priced at Rs. 44.9 lakh and Rs. 54.9 lakh, respectively, ex-showroom. Deliveries for the new Mini Cooper S and the Mini Countryman Electric will begin in September this year.

Mini Cooper S

The updated Mini Cooper S will be available in Classic and Flavoured packs, and gets a few design changes, while also seeing some added features. The notable additions include a digital OLED touchscreen, Mini OS9, an intelligent personal assistant, a digital key plus, and a fish eye camera.

Powering the Mini Cooper S is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that makes 201bhp and 300Nm of torque, mated to an automatic gearbox that sends power to the front wheels. For the global markets, the Cooper is available in electric versions as well.

Mini Countryman Electric

This is the first time the Mini Countryman Electric is making it to our shores, and the vehicle is based on the BMW iX1 platform. The Countryman Electric is powered by a 66.45kWh battery pack, which has a WLTP-certified range of 462km and can be charged from 10-80 percent in 29 minutes. The battery pack and electric motor combined make 201bhp and 250Nm.
