With the festive season approaching, Mercedes-Benz is gearing up to launch the GLE SUV and the AMG C 43 in India on 2 November 2023. The Mercedes-Benz GLE facelift made its global debut earlier this year in Feb 2023 and is an important model for the carmaker’s SUV offering in India.
The new Mercedes-Benz GLE gets an updated design in the form of a refreshed bumper, new headlights, and a fresh set of alloy wheels. The SUV sits between the entry-level GLC and the uber-luxury GLS models in Mercedes’ lineup in India. The interior also sees tweaks in the form of new upholstery and redesigned dash, while getting the updated MBUX infotainment system.
Globally, the Mercedes-Benz GLE is offered with multiple powertrains including a hybrid, however, for India, we expect the German carmaker to offer the GLE with a 4-cylinder turbo diesel, 6-cylinder turbo diesel, and 6-cylinder petrol.
Moving on the the AMG C 43 sedan, the car gets the new AMG grille with vertical slats, larger air intakes, sporty front and rear bumpers, quad-exhausts with a diffuser, and 18-inch alloy wheels. Inside, the performance sedan will get sporty seats and a flat-bottom steering wheel, alongside a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and an 11.9-inch infotainment system.
Powering the Mercedes-Benz AMG C 43 sedan will be a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol-hybrid engine tuned to deliver 397bhp and 500Nm of torque via a nine-speed gearbox that powers all four wheels.
