Fourth generation Suzuki Swift made its debut at the recently concluded Japan Mobility Show in Tokyo. The hatchback has a cult following in the global market, especially in India. Expected to make its way to India sometime next year, the new-gen Swift will receive a fair share of updates over its predecessor.
Let us look at the interior changes between the current and the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Swift.

In its present avatar, the Swift comes with an all-black monotone cabin with dark fabric upholstery. The current-gen Swift made its debut in 2017 and received a mild facelift in 2020. The dashboard gets circular AC vents at the centre with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system and climate control knobs below. Other highlights include analogue instrument dials with a digital MID at the centre, and a flat-bottom steering wheel.
In terms of features, it comes equipped with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, keyless start/stop button, six speakers, reverse parking camera, steering-mounted controls, and cruise control. Other notable features include automatic headlamps, rear wiper with defogger, LED headlamps with DRLs, and electrically adjustable ORVMs.
New Maruti Swift interiors
The upcoming fourth-gen Swift retains highlights like the analogue instrument dials with a digital MID at the centre, and a flat-bottom steering wheel. Besides that, there are significant changes inside the cabin including a new 9-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment display, rectangular air con vents, and climate control with knurled toggle buttons.
The overall layout is very familiar to new-gen Suzuki models like Baleno, Brezza, and Grand Vitara. More importantly, the new Swift will receive a more pleasing dual-tone dashboard with black and white theme. The Japan-spec model even receives active safety features like ADAS which isn’t expected to make it to the India-spec model, at least at the time of launch.
As for the features, the fourth-gen Swift will come loaded with dual-tone black and white theme, new upholstery, automatic climate control, wireless charger, ambient lighting, rear AC vents, new instrument cluster, keyless start-stop button, rain-sensing wipers, and a 360-degree surround camera. We also expect the new Swift to come equipped with a head-up display.
