Maruti Suzuki is in process of upgrading its passenger vehicle lineup with six airbags as standard fitment. The carmaker is now offering six airbags as standard in the CNG variants of Grand Vitara. The non-CNG variants of Grand Vitara were previously updated with six airbags earlier this year.
The CNG version of Grand Vitara is available in two variants: Delta and Zeta, priced at Rs 13.48 lakh and Rs 15.62 lakh (both ex-showroom), respectively. Besides the standard six airbags, Maruti has also added a bunch of premium features to the equipment.

In its updated iteration, the Grand Vitara CNG offers a host of features like such as air purifier with PM 2.5 display, 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a premium sound system by Clarion~, Rear View Camera, wireless phone charging, ventilated front seats, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, Reclining rear Seats with 60:40 split, keyless entry, engine push Start/Stop Button, Auto-Folding ORVMs, connected car tech, etc.
In terms of safety, Grand Vitara CNG now comes with electronic stability program (ESP) with hill hold assist, anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), front and rear disc brakes, ISOFIX child seat restraint system, and tyre pressure monitoring system.

Powering the Grand Vitara CNG is the same 1.5-litre K-series petrol engine which in CNG guise puts out 87 bhp and 121.5 Nm of peak torque. The CNG variants Grand Vitara can only be had with a 5-speed manual transmission. This CNG power plant returns an ARAI-rated mileage of 26.6 km/kg.
