Lamborghini has launched its new flagship called Temerario in India at a whopping price tag of Rs 6 crore (ex-showroom). The successor to the outgoing Huracan, the Temerario broke cover in August last year at the Monterey Car Week. It is the second plug-in hybrid model from the Sant’Agata Bolognese supercar brand after the Revuelto.
Lamborghini Temerario: Design
The Temerario unveils a new design approach that merges striking aesthetics with advanced aerodynamics. At the front, it features a bold shark-nose design, flanked by sleek, swept-back LED headlights that underscore its assertive look. Distinctive hexagonal daytime running lights (DRLs) double as air channels, improving both engine cooling and aerodynamic flow.
From the side, the Temerario presents a powerful profile, defined by sculpted wheel arches and sharp character lines that suggest motion even at rest. Prominent air intakes behind the doors channel airflow efficiently to the engine, while a concave roof guides air seamlessly toward the integrated rear spoiler, enhancing high-speed stability and downforce. At the rear, hexagonal exhaust outlets and a broad diffuser complete the car’s performance-driven aesthetic.
Lamborghini Temerario: Interiors & Features
Inside, the Temerario draws inspiration from Lamborghini’s flagship Revuelto, offering a driver-focused cockpit that blends luxury with cutting-edge technology. The cabin features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster for the driver, an 8.4-inch central touchscreen, and an additional 9.1-inch display for the passenger, allowing both occupants to engage with the vehicle’s infotainment system. The interface is designed to be intuitive, drawing inspiration from smartphone layouts for ease of use.
Comfort has been a priority in the Temerario’s design. The new chassis offers an additional 34mm of headroom and 46mm of legroom compared to its predecessor, accommodating taller drivers and enhancing overall comfort. The standard ‘comfort’ seats are heated, ventilated, and offer 18-way electric adjustment. Practicality is also addressed with increased luggage space, making the Temerario more versatile for everyday use.
Lamborghini Temerario: Powertrain
Beneath the surface, the Temerario signals a bold shift from Lamborghini’s legacy of naturally aspirated engines, embracing a cutting-edge hybrid powertrain. At its heart is a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine that delivers 789 horsepower between 9,000 and 9,750 rpm, with the capability to rev all the way to 10,000 rpm. When paired with three electric motors, the system produces a staggering 907 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque.
Two of the electric motors are mounted on the front axle, enabling all-wheel-drive functionality and short-range electric-only driving. A third motor, positioned between the V8 and the eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, acts as a torque filler, ensuring seamless gear transitions and heightened throttle response. The hybrid setup is powered by a 3.8-kWh lithium-ion battery, which can be fully recharged in just 30 minutes via a 7 kW charger, or replenished through regenerative braking and the engine itself.
Performance is equally impressive: Lamborghini claims a 0–100 km/h sprint in just 2.7 seconds and a top speed north of 340 km/h. Enhancing the dynamic experience, the Temerario offers multiple drive modes—including an all-new Drift mode for controlled oversteer—bringing a new dimension of thrill to every drive.
