Lamborghini unveiled its new flagship Temerario in August last year and now the Italian supercar brand has decided to bring it to India. The Huracan successor will be launched in India on 30 April. The hybrid supercar first broke cover at the Monterey Car Week .
Lamborghini Temerario: Design
The Temerario introduces a fresh design philosophy that emphasizes both aesthetics and aerodynamics. Its exterior features a bold shark-nose front end, complemented by slim, swept-back LED headlights that enhance its aggressive stance. The hexagonal daytime running lights (DRLs) not only serve as a visual signature but also incorporate air channels to improve cooling and aerodynamic efficiency.
In profile, the Temerario showcases a muscular silhouette with pronounced wheel arches and sharp lines that convey motion even when stationary. Large air intakes behind the doors ensure optimal airflow to the engine, while the concave roof design directs air toward the integrated rear spoiler, enhancing downforce and stability at high speeds. The rear is characterized by hexagonal exhaust outlets and a wide diffuser, reinforcing the car’s performance-oriented design.
Lamborghini Temerario: Interiors & Features
Inside, the Temerario draws inspiration from Lamborghini’s flagship Revuelto, offering a driver-focused cockpit that blends luxury with cutting-edge technology. The cabin features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster for the driver, an 8.4-inch central touchscreen, and an additional 9.1-inch display for the passenger, allowing both occupants to engage with the vehicle’s infotainment system. The interface is designed to be intuitive, drawing inspiration from smartphone layouts for ease of use.
Comfort has been a priority in the Temerario’s design. The new chassis offers an additional 34mm of headroom and 46mm of legroom compared to its predecessor, accommodating taller drivers and enhancing overall comfort. The standard ‘comfort’ seats are heated, ventilated, and offer 18-way electric adjustment. Practicality is also addressed with increased luggage space, making the Temerario more versatile for everyday use.
Lamborghini Temerario: Powertrain
Under the hood, the Temerario marks a departure from Lamborghini’s traditional naturally aspirated engines, adopting a hybrid powertrain that combines a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine with three electric motors. The V8 engine alone produces 789 horsepower between 9,000 and 9,750 rpm and can rev up to 10,000 rpm. The combined output with the electric motors reaches an impressive 907 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque.
The hybrid system includes two electric motors on the front axle, providing all-wheel-drive capability and enabling full-electric driving for short distances. A third electric motor is positioned between the engine and the eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, acting as a torque filler to smooth out gear shifts and enhance responsiveness. The 3.8-kWh lithium-ion battery can be fully charged in 30 minutes using a 7 kW charger, or through regenerative braking and the combustion engine.
Performance figures are noteworthy, with Lamborghini claiming a 0-100 kmph time of 2.7 seconds and a top speed exceeding 340 kmph. The Temerario also features multiple driving modes, including a new Drift mode that allows for controlled oversteer, adding an extra layer of excitement to the driving experience.
