Lamborghini will soon replace the Huracan with a new flagship which is slated to join the lineup sometime next year. Slated to make its global debut on 16 August 2024, recently Lamborghini’s chief design director, Mitja Borkert teased the silhouette of the upcoming supercar on his LinkedIn profile.

There are rumours going around that the upcoming hybrid supercar will be named the ‘Temerario’, although the Italian sports car brand is tightlipped about the same. It is scheduled to make its first appearance at the Monterey Car Week on the given date. Earlier, the supercar has been spied testing on multiple occasions on foreign soil.

Lamborghini Huracan successor: What to expect?

The teaser shared by Borkert highlights the silhouette of the upcoming supercar which carries a typical Lambo-esque body– sleek and aggressive with aerodynamics at the forefront. A few days back, a test mule of the upcoming Huracan replacement was spied testing somewhere, a video of the same was published by YouTube channel NCars.

The testing prototype was completely wrapped in camouflage but some of its exterior design elements were quite evident. For instance, it borrows the Y-shaped motifs on bumpers, headlights, taillights, and wheels from the brand’s current plug-in hybrid flagship— Revuelto. At the rear it gets a high-mounted hexagonal exhaust vent at centre and a prominent diffuser with scooped-out edges below exposing the wheels.

Lamborghini Huracan successor: Expected powertrain

The Huracan successor will ditch the naturally aspirated V10 motor for a 4.0-litre V8 Biturbo petrol engine, the same that is offered in the recently launched Lamborghini Urus SE. On its own, this power mill dishes out around 800 horses and 730 Nm of peak torque. The engine is combined with an electric motor and battery which is housed with the 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox to return a total output of over 900 bhp.

There are still no specific details regarding the battery or the range available in pure electric mode. With the launch of this model, Lamborghini will have successfully electrified its entire global lineup.
