The updated Hyundai Venue 2025 edition has been spotted several times as a test mule, and now, its final launch date has been leaked. Hyundai is expected to launch the updated version of the Venue compact SUV on November 4, just days after the Diwali festive season purchase hype ends. The updated Venue is expected to bring a major facelift to the ageing compact SUV, all in the hope of giving it a better chance against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Kia Syros, Skoda Kylaq and Tata Nexon.
Although Hyundai stays mum on an official launch date and any updates on the new Venue, several leaks and car spotters have given us a fair idea of what to expect from the Venue facelift. The new model will essentially be a facelift rather than a new-generation model, focusing on adding new in-car technologies and a more trendy design theme, which seems to be more in line with the Creta.
2025 Hyundai Venue facelift: What the leaks say
The updated Venue is expected to feature the following updates:
Major design changes on the outside:
The Venue’s front fascia will feature a bold new look, including a split headlamp design with vertically stacked projector units and a redesigned grille with distinctive rectangular inserts. The rear gets new LED taillights, revised bumpers, and a spoiler with an integrated high-mounted stop light. New alloy wheel designs and roof rails will also be part of the package. The overall bodywork mimics the Creta.
Curved dual-display interior:
The 2025 Venue’s cabin is set to receive the most dramatic upgrade, dominated by a modern curved screen cluster on the dashboard. This setup will integrate a fully digital and coloured instrument cluster with a large touchscreen infotainment system, along with a new layered dash layout as seen on the Creta. There will be new AC vents and a revised center console.
Advanced safety upgrades:
The new Venue is expected to introduce Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), which is a major step up in safety features for the subcompact segment.
No change in engines, gearbox:
The new Venue is expected to retain the same tried-and-tested engine line-up: the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol, the powerful 1.0-litre turbo-petrol, and the 1.5-litre diesel unit. These will continue to be offered with existing transmission options, including five-speed manual, six-speed manual, and seven-speed DCT automatic gearboxes.
2025 Hyundai Venue facelift vs its rivals
The new Venue will face intense competition in India’s subcompact SUV space, competing with the Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonet, Kia Syros, Tata Nexon, Skoda Kylaq and the Mahindra XUV 3XO. Will these tech upgrades and design refreshes give the Venue a boost in sales? We will need to wait and find out.
