Watch out for those leaves
The leaves that add to the beauty of the season can be dangerous, as they can be extremely slippery. At times, they can also cover potholes and when wet, they can make the roads surface like a skid pad, so avoid going over them and if you have to, just slow down. The morning frost can also add to this, not allowing enough traction.
Wet roads
Most places are wet during this season and wet roads are a danger whether you’re on two wheels or four. Again, slow down and if you do see a patch of water, do reduce your speed further, as aquaplaning is highly dangerous. Aquaplaning happens when the tyres do not make enough contact with the road due to water, which can at times be fatal. Also, such wet and cold conditions don’t let tyres get to optimal temperatures fast, so slow down.
Low visibility
Visibility is a key factor and it is usually low during autumn. There can be animals, pedestrians, or obstacles on the way and the lack of visibility can cause more damage than one can think of. Take your time, ensure to turn on the defogger, and drive slowly. Low visibility can also lead to other forms of accidents if one’s not familiar with the roads.
