Suzuki recently showcased the Swift Concept at the Tokyo Mobility Show. While the Swift continues to sport its distinctive design, a recent spy shot of the hatchback revealed its rear shape. Here’s a quick look at what to expect from the new Maruti Suzuki Swift

2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift: Design

The Swift Concept sticks to its DNA but looks more muscular with heavy body cladding. The front grille is honeycomb in design and both the headlights and the LED DRLs are sharper than the current model’s. From the side, the Swift Concept remains more or less the same though the rear door handles are now in the traditional position instead of being tucked inside the C-pillar. The rear of the Swift has been tweaked including the tailgate and the lights cluster. The bumper, on the other hand, seems to be chunky, but we can’t be totally sure about it as the test car was completely camouflaged.

2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift: Dimensions

The 2024 Swift is 3,860mm in length, 1,695mm in width, and 1,500mm in height making it longer by 15 mm, narrower by 40mm and lower in height by 30mm. At 2,540mm, the wheelbase length stays the same. These are the international model’s dimensions and the Indian Swift may differ when it makes its debut here.

2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift: New Engine

At the Tokyo Mobility Show, Suzuki showcased a new 1.2-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated engine, which will replace the current 1.2-litre 4 cylinder that has an output of 89bhp and 113Nm. Suzuki has not yet revealed the specifications of the new engine, though it is expected to have similar power but more fuel efficient. At the show, the Japanese manufacturer also showed the hybrid version of the new 1.2-litre engine and a new CVT transmission. It will be interesting to see whether the hybrid tech will be available in India.
