The company might launch the 2016 Honda Amaze facelift in the first week of March
The Honda Amaze hasn’t received any facelift ever since its launch in the year 2013, but that will not be the case anymore. The company might launch the 2016 Honda Amaze facelift in the first week of March, though no official launch invite has been shared yet by the Japanese carmaker. The reason we say this is because of the fact that the company has started dispatching the updated car to its dealers across the nation.
While there will be no mechanical changes made to the Honda Amaze, it will receive several cosmetic changes both inside and out. The updated model is expected to receive all-new bumpers, revised grille and few other changes. The vehicle’s cabin too will receive new dual-tone treatment, new instrument panel and touch-screen audio video navigation (AVN) system. All the aforementioned interior changes have been borrowed from the Honda Mobilio, which too is built on the Brio platform.
As mentioned earlier, the 2016 Honda Amaze facelift will receive no mechanical updates as it will continue to feature the same 1.2-litre i-VTEC and 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engines. While the 1.2-litre petrol engine is good for 87bhp and 109Nm, the 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine churns out 99bhp and 200Nm. Similar to the current model, it will continue to be made available with two transmission options – a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed automatic.
