OEMs offering a host of accessories with new motorcycles have become common, and Yamaha is offering accessories for the newly launched R3 and MT-03 to make them unique. Launched at Rs 4.64 lakh (R3) and Rs 4.59 lakh (MT-03), the two 300cc twin siblings compete in a highly competitive segment, currently led by KTM.
Moving on to the accessories list, the Yamaha YZF-R3 gets two primary accessories — a seat cowl and a visor. The rear seat cowl, which makes the motorcycle look like a single-seater, is offered in two colours — Black and Blue, the same colours as the motorcycle. The rear seat cowl is priced at Rs 7,500 each.
The next accessory on offer is a clear visor kit, which is slightly longer than the stock offering and also gives better wind protection compared to the visor on the motorcycle. The visor kit for the YZF-R3 is priced at Rs 8,200.
Moving on to the MT-03, the R3’s naked sibling, Yamaha offers one accessory, a black seat cowl, priced at Rs 7,500. It would have been good to see Yamaha offer more for the MT-03 such as visors or crash protection, however, the vast aftermarket choice of brands will have them on offer in no time.
