Yamaha has launched a new Monster Energy MotoGP Edition of Aerox 155 in India. Priced at Rs 1,48,300 (ex-showroom), the MotoGP Edition of the maxi scooter joins the likes of MotoGP Edition of R15M, MT-15 and Ray ZR 125 prior to the inaugural MotoGP Bharat.
While mechanically Aerox remains unchanged, the MotoGP Edition gets cosmetic and feature updates over the standard Aerox. As is the case with other MotoGP Edition models, the new Aerox 155 also gets wrapped with special Monster Energy livery that resonates with Yamaha’s MotoGP race bikes.
Besides the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Edition, the Aerox 155 is available in four colour options including– Metallic Black, Racing Blue, Grey Vermillion and Silver. In addition to the new livery, the model is now equipped with Class D headlight that offers improved distribution of light and enhanced visibility on roads.

Powering Yamaha Aerox is a 155cc, 4-valve, liquid-cooled, Blue Core engine equipped with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) that kicks out 14.7 bhp at 8,000rpm with 13.9 Nm of peak torque produced at 6,500rpm. The scooter is now OBD2 and E20 fuel compliant. It also gets a hazard system as a standard feature.
Other notable features on offer include all-LED illumination, a Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster, multifunction key, automatic start and stop system, side-stand engine cut-off function, and single-channel ABS. Hardware on the maxi scooter includes telescopic front forks and twin-sided rear springs to handle the suspension tasks. The braking setup includes a 230mm single disc at the front and a 130mm drum at the back.
