Despite several reports of reliability issues, there is no question that EVs have the capability to offer terrific performance. This is because electric motors have the ability to transfer all the power and torque available to the wheels instantaneously without the need for a transmission. An example of this recently went viral on social media.

Ultraviolette F77 tows 15,000 kg load

Ultraviolette F77 is inarguably the most powerful electric two-wheeler in the Indian market currently. A glimpse of its true capabilities were displayed recently when the electric sports bike towed a combined payload of a mammoth 15,000 kilos.

In an Instagram post uploaded by Ultraviolette co-founder– Narayan, the video shows a unit of the F77 pulling a truck and a bus weighing a combined 15 tonnes. The clip shared on social media looks outrageous from the onset but the battery-powered motorcycle is able to pull both heavy vehicles with ease. For reference, the F77 weighs 207 kg, which means it’s pulling approximately 72.5 times of its own weight.
