In May 2025, two-wheeler sales saw a flat growth of 2.2 percent, with SIAM data showing that a total of 16,55,927 two-wheelers were sold in the domestic market as against 16,20,084 units sold in May 2024. Exports, however, saw a healthy YoY increase, registering 3,80,979 units in May 2025.

May 2025 two-wheeler sales was led by Hero MotoCorp, after briefly losing its position to Honda the previous month. Hero Motocorp registered domestic sales of 4,88,997 units last month against Honda’s 4,17,250 units sold. TVS sits in third having sold 3,09,287 units in the domestic market, followed by Bajaj at 1,91,412 units and Suzuki having registered sales of 1,07,780 units.
In terms of two-wheeler exports in May 2025, Bajaj leads with 1,40,958 units, followed by TVS at 1,06,879 units, Honda at 47,859 units, Yamaha at 29,431 units, and Suzuki taking the fifth place with exports of 21,116 units.
Scooter sales in the domestic market registered sales of 5,79,507 units, while motorcycles accounted for 10,39,156 units. Scooter sales saw a growth of 7 percent in the domestic market while motorcycle sales was flat. In terms of exports, Scooters saw a decline in May 2025, while motorcycle exports saw a 27 percent growth compared to May 2025.
In the motorcycle category, Hero MotoCorp leads the segment in May 2025 sales having sold 4,56,461 units, followed by Honda, having sold 1,99,641 motorcycles and Bajaj in third with sales of 1,65,622 units in the domestic market. Scooter sales in May 2025 is led by Honda with 2,17,609 units, followed by TVS and Suzuki, having sold 1,58,522 units and 1,06,428 units respectively.
