Recharging an electric vehicle (EV) is still a pain for most buyers who reside outside the Metros and Tier 1 centres where the charging infrastructure hasn’t developed yet. This causes prospective buyers a phenomenon which is commonly referred to as range anxiety.
Now Ultraviolette has introduced a solution which could ease range anxiety for many electric two-wheeler owners. Called UVLYNC, this device enables all electric two-wheelers to access all AC car chargers and AC car charging stations in India. A Type 2 Charging Interface, it works as an adapter or a linkage between the AC car charger and the two-wheeler’s battery pack. It is priced at Rs 2,999 and can be bought via the company’s official website.
Ultraviolette UVLYNC: Charging for all
Speaking on the launch of UVLYNC, Niraj Rajmohan, Co-Founder and CTO, Ultraviolette commented, “By providing a universal interface, this solution expands charging possibilities and fosters greater confidence in embracing electric mobility. As more riders transition to EVs, the UVLYNC will not only simplify daily charging needs but also accelerate the development of an inclusive and robust electric ecosystem nationwide.”
With this device, every electric two-wheeler in the country will be able to access over 4000 AC car charging stations and over 100,000 AC Type 2 car chargers. This charging interface was developed with the aim of enabling inter-city touring for all Ultraviolette F77 customers. Ultraviolette is the first in the industry to offer diverse charging solutions. The new UVLYNC system provides a convenient, standardized interface, allowing all electric two-wheeler owners to use the readily available network of AC car charging stations, greatly increasing their charging possibilities.
