Fresh images of the upcoming TVS Akula 310 have surfaced recently on maxabout.com. The spied images and videos clearly show that road going version is not a hyper dilution of the concept, but still carries those sharp lines and design cues that we loved about the concept.
The TVS Akula 310 is a fully-faired sports motorcycle and is a result of the TVS-BMW affair that also resulted the in BMW G310R naked. The motorcycle will share most of its features and cycle parts with the G310R and is likely to be manufactured at the TVS’s Chennai plant in Tamil Nadu. The Akula 310 will feature dual projector headlamps with LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lamps) and rear LED tail lamp. The upcoming Akula is expected to get features such as completely digital instrument cluster, petal disc brakes and ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) as an optional extra.
The motorcycle will also share its engine and suspension setup with the G310R. The TVS Akula 310 will be powered by a 313cc, liquid-cooled fuel injected engine that is expected to produce around 34 hp and 28 Nm of torque and will be paired to a 6-speed gearbox. The Akula will also get front upside down suspension and rear monoshock.
